Run a pickleball group without the group chat

The group chat starts helpful and ends unread: 47 messages about Thursday, three side conversations, one paddle-for-sale post, and you still don't know if you have eight. Meanwhile the people who mute it — and someone always mutes it — miss the game entirely.

Get4th replaces the group chat with 1-to-1 texts. Every player gets one clean invite from your group's own number, replies Y or N in private, and sees only what concerns them: their spot, their reminder, their court assignment. You see the whole roster fill in real time. Nobody scrolls through anybody else's schedule negotiation ever again.

What players get instead of a thread

One invite — game, time, place, "reply YES to take a spot."

One reminder the day before, with the address.

Answers on demand — they can text back "what's the address" or "who's in" and Get4th answers. Nobody else sees the question.

Privacy by default — players don't see each other's numbers.

How Get4th works

1 · Post the game. Date, time, court, spots. Once, from your phone.

2 · Get4th texts your group from its own dedicated number — the one your players save as "Thursday pickleball."

3 · They reply Y. The court fills in order; extras land on standby. If someone drops, the first standby is texted automatically. You find out it was handled, not that it needs handling.

Questions

Can players still talk to each other about the game?

Each game has an optional game chat players can open from their link — scoped to that game, gone when it's done. The scheduling itself never depends on anyone reading a thread.

What if a player prefers the group chat?

Nothing stops your group keeping a social chat. Get4th just takes the logistics out of it, so the chat can go back to being trash talk.

Do players see each other's phone numbers?

No. Invites are individual texts from the group's number. Numbers stay private unless people share them.

How is this different from a mass text I send myself?

Get4th counts the replies, caps the spots, orders the standby, backfills dropouts, sends reminders, and answers questions — automatically, from a number that isn't yours.
